Would you like to be a part of our Massey’s got talent youth event this year?
Every year we dedicate a week on youth to embrace there uniqueness and development nation wide. The week is normally called youth week and every year there is a theme to build idea around. This year for youth week, our Massey Youth have an amazing event called the Massey's Got Talent celebrating the theme "Be who you want to be"
As you may have heard in the past one of our successful events was the SELFIE EXPO. This year as we focus on “be who we want to be” as youth we’ve got the exciting be who you want to be.
We also invite guest speakers to talk about their challenges they had as youth and how they became who they are today. Dylan Felton from casper fitness, Lanzwel sounds and young revus.
Earlier in August the MYC crew were invited to Kiwanis lodge in Huia for a youth voice camp. At the camp we were joined by 5 other Youth Groups from Ranui 135, MPHS, Glen Dean, Te Atatu and Zeal.
Be prepared to bring the skills to get your name carved in the Shoot It All Out Competition Champion’s trophy this year.
Haunted House is booked in and on its way. Our wonderful project Team will be putting forward their best ideas on engaging those Halloween Freaks to join us on our venture!
This year we were lucky enough to be given some funding to develop some youth leaders and run a cool event..... check out what we did!
Every Sunday there’s a opportunity to interact with other kids in the Massey neighbourhood.
Youth Voice is a platform for our talented youth to come forward and speak freely about what they would like to see in the community.
Basketball is the fastest growing sport in Massey and our annual event Shoot Out competition is the best way to see who’s got game.

Youth group Wednesday is the ideal time for youth to co design, chill and come up with ideas for youth events in the Massey Community.

Want to work out for free with some awesome people from your community? Come along to Fit Club for fun group work outs to keep you motivated and accountable. Suitable for all ages groups. Children welcome
Want to practice public speaking? Learn leadership skills? Develop speach writing techniques?
Then come along and check out Toastmasters on Monday evenings. Open to everyone, membership fees apply if you choose to sign up.
Wednesdays 3 — 4.30pm
Afterschool care for children to attend with their homework and get assistance from staff. Afternoon snack is provided, registration is required, plus a Gold coin donation.
Wednesdays 10 — 11.30am
A six week program exploring: Empowerment on who we are, Colour therapy - love, power, confidence, Voice - what is your inner voice saying and Wellbeing.
Thursdays 9.30am — 1pm
Tax seminars and workshops. All seminars and workshops are limited so booking is essential focusing on starting a business. Come and learn about working smarter with our online services, business structures, Income tax, expenses you can claim GST and more.
Thursdays 3 — 4.30pm
Lego club is an afterschool program for the ages of 5+. Games and activities for the children to join in on with afternoon snack provided, registration is req uired with a gold coin donation.
